Paragliding School on the Isle of Wight
High Adventure Paragliding is a fully registered British Paragliding and Hang gliding Association (BHPA) school.
We were the first UK school to teach paragliding in the late 80's, and many of the teaching techniques used by other schools today, were developed by us.
We have our own private teaching site's, this lets you have uncrowded skies and lots of room to learn in.
Experienced Instructors
We are dedicated instructors who have been teaching paragliding courses to all levels for many years.
Each instructor has a wealth of experience to offer new pilots and all are and licensed by the British Hang-gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA)
LOCATION
The Isle of Wight is on the UK South Coast - a short ferry ride across the Solent and within easy reach of London (1.5 - 2 hours) and the home counties.
More flyable days
Being so far south, the Island often escapes the worst effects of low pressure systems, and we get more than our fair share of flyable days. We have a good understanding of local weather patterns, which include regular sea-breezes. These provide smooth, dynamic flying conditions, that are ideal for learning the basic paragliding skills. Couple this with access to over eight flying sites all within 30 minutes drive, which cater for most wind directions and the advantages of learning to fly with High Adventure Paragliding are clear.
